In your initial 45 min coaching session with a personal coach you'll create a simple plan for your specific goals. The coach will show you how we guide you, hold you accountable, and how we take all the
guess work out of becoming strong, fit, and confident!
We kick everyone off with 4 personal training sessions at BFP. This helps us get to know you and prepare you to be as successful as possible in your training. Just show up to your scheduled private session time and your coach has got you from there!
The Foundations program at BFP will improve every workout you do for the rest of your life! At BFP, we do 2 things: We focus all of our efforts on making sure you show up consistently and we protect our culture. To do this, we have everyone who steps foot through our doors go through our Foundations Personal Training Program prior to moving into group training, semi-private training, or more personal training. The BFP Foundations program is built to teach and refine your skills in the fitness fundamentals. This includes aerobic exercise (cardio), weight lifting with barbells and kettlebells, and calisthenics (like burpees and pull-ups.)You’ll also learn how to exercise for maximum results, and see the value of coaching. Best of all, you’ll FEEL amazing!

After Foundations, you'll be guided into more private training or into our Group Personal Training program. Whether you played sports in the past and are hoping to get your athletic edge back or if you're a working parent hoping to lose that stubborn weight and feel better and more energetic in your everyday life, our team at Breakaway Fitness & Performance is here to help you become the best you can be. We are Hampstead's solution for simple, results-driven fitness with a personal touch. Get the best blend of personal training and fitness classes with our group personal training sessions -- accountability, individualized feedback, and unconditional support
We recommend a minimum of 3 days per week. Once you've have been training with us for some time, then we recommend upgrading to 4-5 days per week!
At BFP, we believe accountability is the glue that ties consistency to results. We reward you for showing up and hitting 12 sessions per month. We also check in to make sure you are on track to hit your sessions each month. Unlike most other gyms, at BFP, we truly care if you show up. We devote all of our energy to helping you be consistent for life! We check our numbers every week and if you haven't made it more than once in a week, then we start texting you to make sure everything is ok.
We are a small training studio with a focus on helping busy parents and professionals feel fit, strong, and confident again! We aren't interested in renting out space and equipment to folks as a traditional larger gym would. We are "all in" on offering as personalized of a training and nutrition experience as possible, while promoting the BFP Family atmosphere. If you are a busy person looking to be able to show up and not think, this is the place for you!
We have our very own BFP App! All of our billing, registration for sessions, and personal information can be seen here! We also use an app to track your progress as well as your workouts known as TrainHeroic. This is how we are able to personalize the workout for each individual although there may be 15 to 20 other people around!
YES! Our BFP Training Facility comes equipped with an Inbody Body Composition Analyzer. It gives a complete breakdown of your weight, body fat, lean mass, water weight and more! The Inbody allows us to see where you are starting and see how your progress is moving and what needs work! We also use an app known as Trainheroic to track and store all of your numbers for various movements and lifts. With this information we can dial in exactly how much weight you should use in a given session to maximize your results!
Yes! An industry accredited certification is a minimum qualification for our coaches. In fact, most of our coaches have at least a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field. We have regular continuing education offerings, quarterly inservices, as well as on going development for all of our coaches.
Yes! You can do this within the BFP app. We have a 2 hour cancellation window for all sessions after 8am and an 8 hour cancellation window for the 5am and 6 am sessions.
