Support Beyond Saturday Sessions

In addition to weekly 90-minute coached sessions, you’ll receive a structured running program to follow outside the gym so you can continue building endurance throughout the week. Members and Non-Members also have the option to combine HYROX training with BFP strength training sessions for a more complete performance-focused approach.

Do I Need HYROX Experience To Join?

No. This program is designed for both first-time participants and experienced racers. Every session includes scalable options so you can train at the appropriate level for your fitness and experience.

What If I’m Not A Runner?

That’s completely fine. Many people joining HYROX training are not experienced runners. The program is designed to help you gradually improve endurance, pacing, and conditioning over time. You’ll also receive a structured running program to follow outside of class.

What Happens During The 90-Minute Sessions?

Each session includes HYROX-specific conditioning, race-style stations, endurance work, coaching, pacing strategies, and workout modifications when needed. We use equipment and movements similar to what you’ll experience during a HYROX race so you can build confidence and prepare properly.

When Does It Start And What Is The Schedule For The 12 Weeks?

12-Week HYROX Training Schedule

The program runs from June 6th through August 29th as we prepare for the HYROX DC event in September.

Weekly Training Sessions

Saturdays | 9:30am–11:00am

Each 90-minute session includes:

HYROX-specific conditioning

Running and endurance work

Race-style stations and equipment

Coaching and pacing strategies

Scalable options for all experience levels

Important Schedule Notes

No Session On July 18th

There will be no HYROX training session on July 18th due to BFP hosting a DEKA STRONG event.

July 4th Schedule Change

The July 4th training session will run earlier than normal:

8:00am–9:30am

Full HYROX Simulation Day

During the program, we will host at least one Saturday dedicated to a near full HYROX simulation so participants can experience race pacing, transitions, endurance demands, and overall event flow before race day. This gives athletes an opportunity to build confidence and better understand what to expect during competition.

Can't Make Every Saturday? Let's Talk!

We get it. Not everyone can make every Saturday. We do however, encourage you to commit to as many as you possibly can. Either way, let's talk and see what we can get figured out or possibly discuss a simple drop in plan!

Do I Have To Compete In A HYROX Race?

No. While this program is designed to help people prepare for HYROX events, many participants join simply because they want a new challenge, improved endurance, and more structured hybrid training.

Can Current BFP Members Add This To Their Membership?

Yes. Current BFP members can add HYROX training to complement their regular strength and group training sessions. This is a great way to improve endurance, work toward a new goal, and challenge yourself in a different way.

What Makes BFP’s HYROX Program Different?

At BFP, we focus on real coaching, structured progressions, and a supportive training environment without the ego or intimidation that often comes with competitive fitness spaces. We train hard, support each other, and maintain a respectful, family-friendly culture while helping people become stronger, fitter, and more confident.

We Have A Dress Code At BFP That Applies Please Read For Full Information:

At BFP, we train hard and push ourselves, but we also work to maintain a respectful, family-friendly environment for everyone in the gym. We ask all participants to wear appropriate athletic clothing during sessions, including full shirts at all times. Sports bras worn as tops and shirtless training are not permitted during HYROX sessions. Our goal is to create an atmosphere where people of all fitness levels feel comfortable, supported, and focused on improving together.
